So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
This is the written account of the descendants of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them to be like himself. (2) He created them male and female, and he blessed them and called them “human.”
...for God made man in his own image.
Isn’t he your Father who created you? Has he not made you and established you?
You formed me with your hands; you made me…
You guided my conception and formed me in the womb.
Psalms 119:73 (AMP)
Your hands have made me and established me; Give me understanding and a teachable heart, that I may learn Your commandments.
(NASB) Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
Psalms 139:14 (ESV)
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
The Lord formed me from the beginning, before he created anything else.
God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth.
Bring all who claim me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them...
I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb...”
Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God?
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, (16) for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see—such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.
