(3) bringing pleasure or relief as a welcome contrast to what one has previously experienced
(4) a favor or gift bestowed by God, thereby bringing happiness

He created them male and female, and he blessed them and called them “human.”
The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.
So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help
But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.

The Lord remembers us and will bless us.
He will bless those who fear the Lord, both great and lowly.
From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.
2 Corinthians 8:9
For you are recognizing [more clearly] the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [His astonishing kindness, His generosity, His gracious favor], that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich (abundantly blessed). AMP

You will be blessed in every way, and you will be able to keep on being generous. (CEV)
1 Peter 4:14
If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
